Tevel is one of my new "babies". I co-founded it with my friend Oren Heiman. Tevel is the first angel club established in the US, which facilitates the introduction of Israeli high-technology entrepreneurs to potential investors in the United States through a web based database and bi-monthly club meetings in New York City.
Tevel angel club is a New York registered Not-for-Profit corporation with pending 501(c)(3) status. The founders of Tevel have come together to enable US-based angels to show their support and take part in the thriving high-tech revolution taking place in Israel.
We focus on companies from the sectors in which Israeli technology is currently demonstrating exceptional abilities, including life sciences, Internet, electronics, telecom, software, clean-tech and homeland security. We carefully screen dozens of companies and select up to 4-5 promising startups to present in each angel club meeting.
All angel members or guests of Tevel are required to be accredited investors as individuals or as representatives of such entities.
A core value of Tevel's angel club is to encourage philanthropic contribution alongside deal-making, therefore, at each meeting, a pre-screened Israeli-related charitable cause will present its case for the support and consideration of the members.
The first angel club meeting was held at the Harvard Club in Manhattan on September 6, 2007, and in that event, 4 selected startups presented an investment opportunity.
Tevel is now welcoming companies to submit proposals for review by a handpicked executive committee, comprised of industry leading experts in the fields of Life Sciences, Internet, Electronics, Clean Tech and Homeland Security. Please check Tevel
